Color photos (very rare) of the Great Depression. Note that in some of these group photos, everyone is wearing coats and hats, which indicates that it’s cold outside, but many of the children don’t have shoes.

The last time I visited my child’s school, in any weather, every child, no matter their income level, had on a pair of shoes.

These photos brought these people and time to life for me as no time travel can ever do. This WAS time traveling to me.
