“Do not the most moving moments of our lives find us all with only 140 characters?” Marcel Marceau
I tweeted this morning:
Want to pique kid’s interest in something? Deliver via medium they embrace. My daughter all over #YouTube exploring fun #socialmedia videos

My daughter has been ALL OVER social media this morning. Why? Because she stumbled upon some of the Christmas Story videos (see my Twitter for links) depicting the Christmas story via Facebook, Twitter, etc…
So this sent her exploring #socialmedia. She has been bombarding my Facebook inbox (teens use that, not email) with awesome social media quotes that I can use in my presentations. The Marcel Marceau quote really captured my imagination. Because….it’s true.
“Do not the most moving moments of our lives find us all with only 140 characters?” Marcel Marceau
  • Will you be mine?
  • I have a new boyfriend.
  • I love you.
  • Will you marry me?
  • Mom, I’m engaged!
  • I do.
  • You’re going to be a grandfather!
  • I’m pregnant!
  • It’s a boy!
  • We lost our beloved (insert name) today.
  • I miss you.
  • I’ll never forget you.
  • I’ll pray for you.
What else? Every beautiful, sad, important moment of my life CAN be expressed in 140 characters or less.
I’m so glad my daughter shared this quote with me. 🙂
Note: This is not his actual quote, but rather a popular and much-shared version of it. His actual quote: “Do not the most moving moments of our lives find us without words?”
