Family first. It took me a while to realize I can take care of my family financially and still be there when they needed me, rather than 2 hours away when a kid was at school with a fever.
I eliminated some of our bills, told the kids we were downgrading, and began focusing more on work that is not 2 hours away. Guess what? Our quality of life hasn’t changed one bit. Our attitude has. We have time for church, friends, doctor appointments, and each other.
