A good article about the Anchor Baby issue.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/us_birthright_citizenship

It has actual facts and numbers, as well as a description of the process that would have to occur for a ratification of the constitution to pass.

I have mixed feelings about this but generally believe that a child born here is BY LAW and birthright a US citizen and this should not change. But the parents are still illegal so OUT and get back in the legal way, I say!

This last sentence particularly irked me. I think the mother was talking about financial aid for college. Non-citizens can not apply for federal aid or guaranteed student loans (I think).

From the article:

“Her 12-year-old daughter was born in Mexico and is here illegally, but her two youngest children, ages 8 and 5, were born in the U.S. and are citizens.”

And the mother said:

“It’s sad,” Gomez said of her oldest daughter, who was only 1 when the family came to the United States. “She studies hard, and she won’t be able to go to a university like the other two.”

Yes she can. If you PAY FOR IT. What a concept.
